I've been working full-time in the Internet/IT sector since 2001, and worked previously as an Accounts Supervisor and also a part-time Sports Journalist for a local news publication.

Back in 2001, I landed my first full time position as a Junior Web Developer for a web studio in Surrey, where I worked for 18 months. Working within a team of 4 developers, we would each be assigned a project which would usually consist of building a site from a signed off design concept. The role provided me with a solid foundation of experience before landing my current role.

I am currently employed by a Trading Software company in Central London, where I have held the position of Web Services Manager for the past 7 years. I am responsible for supervising the Webmaster of the Intranet/ Extranet, which has an estimated 1,500 users that require support and oversee and take responsibility for all online content and media which goes out externally for the company worldwide (London, New York, Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Toronto, Bahrain, Boston, San Francisco, Belfast). Aside from the corporate website, this includes HTML Emails, Micro-Sites and advertising banners hosted on external websites.

I have a good eye for design, as well being experienced in coding and database connectivity and have designed and built sites for a number of different companies from a diverse span of sectors. I really enjoy what I do and take great satisfaction from producing effective, custom- built online solutions out of thin air for my clients. I count myself very lucky to have found something I'm good at and enjoy doing so much - it’s never a drag getting stuck into work, and no two weeks are the same.

My skills include the complete design lifecycle of a project, redesigns, branding/logos, icons, retouching, photography and creative writing. The software/languages I use are as follows: HTML, ASP, SQL, JavaScript, VB Script, Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Bridge, Flash, Dreamweaver, After Effects, Fireworks, PDF Writer, Swift 3D, SQL Enterprise Manager, IIS. I have excellent people, written and verbal communication skills, as well as managing large projects.

Outside of work I enjoy family life, socializing with friends, keeping fit from running, gym, occasional golf and tennis. Personal interests include following various sports, music, photography, technology and striving to make the most of life!
